Juniors Shine at QLD Championships
Wynnum Manly Juniors RLFC is incredibly proud of Willow Barlow and Harper Smith for their outstanding achievement in representing the Under 13/14 Met East team at the Queensland Rugby League Championships last year. Their hard work, dedication, and passion for the game paid off as they played a crucial role in securing an 18-8 victory over Sunshine Coast.
Being selected to represent Met East at the state championships is a testament to the commitment and talent of both Willow and Harper. Competing against some of Queensland’s best young rugby league players, they showcased their skill, resilience, and teamwork on the big stage.
The 18-8 win against Sunshine Coast was no easy feat. The match was a tough contest, with both teams displaying strong defensive efforts and attacking plays. However, Met East’s ability to work together and execute key plays saw them come out on top, with Willow and Harper playing pivotal roles throughout the game.

Their achievement highlights the incredible talent being developed at Wynnum Manly Juniors RLFC. We are thrilled to see our players earning opportunities at representative levels, and we have no doubt that Willow and Harper have bright futures ahead in the sport.
